1,000 Hits!

11 April, 2013

I’m pumped.

In January, I launchd my consulting business, Freelance Total Rewards, including this blogsite where I share ideas and information to help people like you do thier jobs better in the areas of compensation, benefits and talent mobility. Yesterday, I reached a milestone: there have been one thousand hits (spelling it out makes the number seem bigger, doesn’t it?) on my blogsite.

If you are new to this site, take a look around and maybe you’ll pick up some helpful ideas. If your 2013 KPOs include reviewing, aligning or revising your rewards or mobility programs, contact me and see if I can help you succeed. I support clients at a mid-to-high level: strategy, design, alignment, planning and assessment:

  • Strategy is doing the right things
  • Design is doing them well
  • Alignment ensures buy-in and support because your goals help advance goals of others
  • Planning helps ensure you succeed for your efforts.

My consulting services generally begin with assessment of practices against business needs and talent objectives. No sense doing something better, if the thing you’re doing is contrary to that business needs, or to your talent objectives. Although I have 20 years of corporate experience, and seven years with two top tier HR consulting firms (Hewitt and Mercer) at the senior/principal level, my rates are now more affordable because I don’t have millions of dollars in overhead costs like they do. Basically, with Freelance Total Rewards you pay less and get more, compared to the big guys. Of course, you cannot match the data resources at the big firms. But if you want seasoned advice and solutions that work from a consultant who has been in your shoes, let’s talk.

All the best.
